Dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim's sworn enemy Chhota Rajan is facing threats to his life.
According to intelligence sources, the D company is perhaps planning to outsource the killing of Rajan to a local gangster, and could have contacted Neeraj Bawana for the same.
The information was leaked by a member of the Neeraj Bawana gang, said sources. Following the intel, Chhota Rajan's security at Tihar Jail has been beefed up.
Both Delhi gangster Neeraj Bawana and Chhota Rajan were lodged at jail number 2 of Tihar but after receiving fresh intel, jail authorities have shifted them to separate jails.
While Chhota Rajan has been kept at jail number 2 under heavy security, gangster Neeraj Bawana has been shifted to a solitary prison.
RAJAN's ARREST
After dodging Indian security agencies for over two decades, underworld don Chhota Rajan was arrested in Bali, Indonesia, on October 25, 2015.
In a fake passport case, a special court in Delhi sentenced Rajan to seven years in jail, following which he was lodged in Tihar Jail.
Rajan with the alleged help of three officials of the Bengaluru passport office obtained a fake passport. These three officials, Jayashree Dattataray Rahate, Deepak Natvarlal Shah and Lalitha Lakshmanan, were also convicted in the fake passport case.
WHO IS CHHOTA RAJAN
Underworld don Chhota Rajan's real name is Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhaljee. Born to a lower-middle class family in Chembur, Chhota Rajan started selling movie tickets in black when he barely 10.
He joined the Rajan Nair gang; Rajan Nair was popularly known as Bada Rajan. As the right-hand man of Bada Rajan, Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhaljee came to be known as Chhota Rajan.
