Actress Lainie Kazan was arrested for petty theft over the Christmas holiday.

The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star was shopping at a Gelson’s grocery store in the San Fernando Valley in California on Sunday, when she allegedly walked out with $180 worth of groceries without paying.

According to TMZ, after police were called to the shop, Kazan claimed she didn’t pay because she didn’t have money on her. She was subsequently arrested for petty theft and cited, before being released without bail.

She has yet to comment on her legal run-in.
