New Zealand cricket team defeated West Indies by 66 runs in the third one day international match held on Tuesday. Mitchell Santner and Trent Boult took six wickets to take rain-affected match to their side.

Team New Zealand clinched 131 runs for 4 wickets following triumph of the toss. Despite of the lowest ever score 9-5 in short format games, New Zealand Team managed to clinch 131 under the Duckworth-Lewis system.
Santner secured 15- 3 wickets from five overs while Boult took 3 runs and gave 18 runs during the match.
West Indies captain Jason Holder contributed 34 runs from 21 balls and achieved 48 runs in partnership with Rovman Powell (11). On the other hand, Batsman Nikita Miller secured 20 and Shannon Gabriel made only 12 runs.
“It was an terrific show today,” New Zealand captain Latham affirmed. “It was nice to be able to get back on there following the rain delays.” He said.
“I believe we tried to make big score and the efforts players implemented and did the work with the ball was wonderful.” He added.
In 19 overs, New Zealand was at a score of 83-3 when rain initially disturbed the game at Hagley Oval.
Ross Taylor contributed 47 runs in the game while Latham scored 37 from 42 balls in ODI.
