UA participates in 4-day fundraising challenge

The annual scholarship fundraising challenge among the four finalists in the College Football Playoff Semifinals begins Thursday.

The University of Alabama will face the University of Georgia, Clemson University and the University of Oklahoma in the Participants Giving Challenge, which ends on Sunday.

The universities will compete to see which one can get the most donation pledges during the four-day challenge. Every gift, no matter the size, counts.The winner will be announced on Jan. 1.

Gifts contributed to UA during the challenge will go to the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for student-athletes. For information about donating, go to www.crimsontidefoundation.org/givingchallenge.
