Letter: What to make of someone who calls everyone else a liar? Consider this

Anais Nin offered this interesting observation about human nature: “We don’t see things as they are. We see them as we are.”

You can probably find this principle at work in many of the people in your life: the optimistic, the diligent, the faithful. So when you hear someone calling everyone around him a liar, accusing his opponent of rigging elections, or complaining that the press is generating fake news, please consider what that tells you about the speaker.
