Juventus to offer player plus cash for Liverpool star Emre Can - report

JUVENTUS are reportedly prepared to offer a player in a part-exchange deal for Liverpool contract rebel Emre Can.

Emre Can GETTY

Emre Can has refused to sign a new deal at Liverpool

The man in question is Croatian midfield starlet Marko Pjaca.

Juventus shelled out over £20m on the 22-year-old in July 2016.

And despite not setting the world alight in Serie A thus far, the former Dinamo Zagreb player has big potential.

Emre Can looks set to depart Anfield in the summer after failing to agree a new deal with Liverpool.

The Germany international is said to be seeking a "significant" increase on his current weekly wage of £55,000 under any new deal.

Tuttosport say a player-plus-cash deal is in the pipeline

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Can, while Manchester City are among the Premier League clubs linked previously.

The highly-anticipated summer arrival of Naby Keita should leave the Reds well stocked in midfield despite Can's potential departure.

And according to Tuttosport, the Italian champions’ latest tactic to convince the Reds to sell in January is to include winger Pjaca in a player plus cash deal.

Marko Pjaca GETTY

Marko Pjaca has not been involved at Juventus yet this season

While Pjaca has just one goal in 19 games for Juventus, he has represented Croatia 13 times already in his short career.

Although he is yet to play a single minute for the Old Lady so far this season.

Can, 23, has appeared 23 times in all competitions for Liverpool this term, scoring four times and providing three assists.
