Brandywine Valley SPCA reunites cat with owners after 3 years

The Brandywine Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reunited Raja, a six-year-old Bengal mix cat, with its family Dec. 23 after the cat escaped from the family home in Florida three years ago.

Three-year old Raja escaped from the family residence in 2014 while the Tuttle family lived in Florida. After searching to no avail, the family assumed Raja, a Bengal mix, had been stolen.

A man living in Georgetown brought a stray cat to the BVSPCA Georgetown Campus on Dec. 23. The team checked the cat for a chip and found one. After researching several angles, a staffer connected the pieces to the Tuttle family, who now live in Virginia. Sean, Stephanie and Emily Tuttle came to the Georgetown campus to bring Raja home.
