Ryan Murphy's particular brand of camp awesomeness continues to be right at home on FX! The network announced today that it has put in a series order for Pose, a new dance musical from Murphy and frequent collaborators Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and Brad Falchuk.

Pose has already earned a great deal of attention for its ambitious and diverse casting picks; the show will feature the largest regularly-appearing cast of transgender actors and the largest recurring LGBTQ cast in history for a scripted television series. Murphy will also be bringing emerging transgender directors on board the series for mentorship, making it a major coup for representation of trans voices. (Janet Mock and Our Lady J will also serve as producers.)

Murphy will direct the first two of eight episodes in the series' first season. The show is set in the 1980s and stars American Horror Story alums Evan Peters and Kate Mara as a married couple from New Jersey who get caught up in the glitz and glamour of New York society during the city's simultaneously seediest, yet most decadent years.

Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany was originally attached to star, but the role was re-conceived and will now be played by Charayne Woodard (The Leftovers).

Pose will premiere on FX in Summer 2018.
