Equity benchmark Nifty50 opened on a flat note at 10,531 on Wednesday.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Sun Pharma (Rs 157.84 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 81.56 crore) and Bharti Airtel (Rs 57.21 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in morning trade on Wednesday.

Shares of Maruti Suzuki (Rs 56.82 crore), Lupin (Rs 53.22 crore), YES Bank (Rs 52.99 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 50.58 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 49.61 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 43.56 crore), Infosys (Rs 42.62 crore), Punjab National Bank (Rs 39.90 crore) and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) (Rs 39.47 crore) were also among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE.

Equity benchmark Nifty50 opened on a flat note at 10,531 on Wednesday, down 0.45 points against its previous close. On the other hand, BSE Sensex opened 76.71 points, or 0.23 per cent, up at 34,087.32, marking its fresh record high.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 7 points up at 10,538, while BSE Sensex was up 74 points at 34,084 around 09:40 am (IST).

In the Nifty index, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Cipla, NTPC, Aurobindo Pharma, Tata Motors, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Power Grid Corporation of India were trading among the top gainers.

On the other hand, UltraTech Cement, Bosch, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Ambuja Cements and Indian Oil Corporation were trading among the losers.
