Tribunal shuts kids' club

The Manipur forest department halted the activities of a children's club at Cheiraoching in Imphal West following a directive of the National Green Tribunal, Eastern Zone, Calcutta.
The club, Maniwood Children Club, set up in January 2015, is located inside the Langol reserve forest area and is managed by Joint Forest Management Committee of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai.
The reserve forest is in the Langol hill range and Sinam Leikai is located in the foothills.
