Swagger Like Us, the Bay Area’s most recognizable queer hip-hop party, has had an incredible run of guest musicians this year, and it plans to keep it going until the last minute of 2017 at its New Year’s Eve party. The two headliners are Bearcat, a standout Brooklyn-based DJ from the increasingly influential Discwoman collective, and Leonce, a DJ and producer with Los Angeles’ Fade to Mind collective.

Bearcat (pictured) has been making waves nationally and internationally with her bass-heavy sets that weave together experimental music, grunge, hip-hop, techno and other “world music” (for lack of a better word).

Leonce is a similarly versatile artist, who recently dropped Heatwave 2, a masterful set of bounce remixes of songs like SZA’s “The Weekend” and Tinashe’s “Touch Pass.”

The Swagger crew has also rounded out the evening with Ah Mer Ah Su, a local artist who has been popping up on year-end lists.
