Weeks before Christmas, a 10-year-old girl named Alexis wrote a letter to Santa asking for an autographed football from her favorite LSU player, running back Derrius Guice.
While she got what she called "the best gift I could ask for", the biggest surprise for her was that Guice showed up to personally give her the present. He tweeted some pictures of the two of them hanging out together and shared her original letter to Santa.
According to the letter, Alexis lives about 70 miles away from LSU's campus in Baton Rouge. She wrote:
"Dear Santa,
"It's me, your favorite 10 year old from Mandeville. I've had a hard time thinking of what I want for christmas, and my mind can only think of 1 thing.
"I really LOVE LSU football, and my favorite player by far is Derrius Guice. Did you know he broke a record last week? If you can get him to sign a football for me, then it would be the best gift I could ask for."
In October, Guice became the first SEC player to have three games with at least 250-yard games.
Guice and the Tigers are playing Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl on Monday (1 p.m., ABC).
Thanks to Saturday Down South for sharing.
