Touch a Truck in downtown Bradenton

Toy trucks are terrific, sure. But they just can't compare to witnessing the real thing. Bradenton's annual Touch a Truck event allows youngsters to sit in the driver’s seat and see trucks up close. Attendees can learn about trucks, too, and explore construction vehicles, cars, public safety equipment as well as service vehicles. The free event along the Manatee River is for kids of all ages and takes place a short stroll from the weekly Farmer's Market on Old Main Street. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday; Downtown Central Library, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. W., Bradenton; realizebradenton.com
