Chennai: From Tuesday, superstar Rajinikanth is meeting his fans for next five days, amid huge expectations that he would announce his much awaited entry into politics. The venue- Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam at Kodambakkam in the city- is under tight vigil, both by police and private security personnel. Strict regulations are in place and those with valid identity cards, which were issued already district-wise, will only be allowed, that too after thorough scanning.

" I have not been given an opportunity to meet thalaivar this time. But I have come here in the morning itself to have a glimpse of the superstar and to welcome him when he arrives here," said Rajini Babu, who was seen near the marriage hall. He had come all the way from suburban Thiruvallur.

Members of Rajinikanth's fan club have stuck posters all over the city and the number of banners, posters and festoons are high near the mandapam. " We are thalaivar's army and we are waiting for his war call. The moment he announces his political entry, we will march behind him," said Gabriel from Thiruvanmiyur.

Rajini, it is learnt, will address his fans on Tuesday and on December 31, the opening and valedictory sessions which might be tweaked if warranted. Sources said that he would first announce floating a political forum, which would then be converted as political party. But nothing is confirmed as of now and the only one who can do it is- Rajinikanth himself.
