On Thursday, New Kids on the Block's Donnie Wahlberg posted a picture showing he'd left a massive tip for the overnight servers at a Waffle House. Wahlberg left an astonishing $2000 on the $82.60 check. He received the royal royal treatment and wanted to return the favor. In a post on Facebook, Wahlberg said "My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars-- for years! So, when I walk into a WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!" Wochit
Five employees at an Ohio Waffle House are feeling a little extra holiday cheer after a church on Sunday stunned them with a generous Christmas gift.
After a Christmas Eve service, churchgoers from Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, Ohio, went to the Wapakoneta restaurant to surprise servers with what The Rev. Mick Whistler called "the biggest tip ... they have ever received in their life."
Whistler, the lead pastor of the church, then presented the workers with a $3,577 tip that had been collected by the church in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The five women behind the counter were noticeably touched, hugging each other and crying as Whistler announced the gift: "Are you kidding us?" one of them asked.
The employees were then told they could split the money, amounting to more than $700 apiece.
Whistler had asked families in his congregation to set aside the cash during the weeks before the holiday and then to bring five $1 bills on Christmas Eve for the tip.
