The Daily Mail report that Bordeaux want a whopping £50m for their wonderkid.
It is said that United are willing to shell out £33m for the 20-year-old who is considered to be one of the best youngsters in Europe.
And talks have opened between the clubs ahead of a possible January deal with the view to loan him back straight away.

7:30am: Liverpool and Arsenal are battling it out for £42m Mexican striker sensation Hirving Lozano.
The Gunners thought they had stolen a march on landing the PSV forward, who has scored 10 goals in 15 appearances for the Dutch side this season.
But Liverpool have now entered the race, possibly starting a bidding war for the 22-year-old.
PSV landed the player, nicknamed ‘Chucky’, from Mexican side Pachuca in June and tied him to a six-year contract.
