New Delhi, Dec 26: In yet another shocking incident, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly thrashed and gangraped by two men along the Delhi-Haryana border. The woman who works in a Gurgaon mall was found in unconscious state in outside Dwarka metro station on Saturday night.
The accused identified as Sumit (24) and Bidur Singh (23) were taken into custody following victim’s complaint. They worked as cab drivers with Multi-National Companies in Gurgaon. In her statement, the woman said she had taken a cab from Shiv Chowk area in Gurgaon late on Saturday night. Three persons were already in the cab then.
“After one person got down near Rajokri border area, the vehicle started to roam around in areas near Delhi-Haryana border. The accused then took her to an isolated place, thrashed and raped her and threw her out of the car near Dwarka metro station”, a police official told news agency PTI.
The woman then called her friends and lodged an FIR at Dwarka Sector 23 police station. She was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where a medical examination confirmed the rape.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Dwarka deputy commissioner of police Shibesh Singh said that the accused had gone to pick BPO employees for their office but as the office staff didn’t turn up, they decided to pick random people to earn extra money.
