Two robbers jumped over a Dover pharmacy store counter on Christmas Eve to steal pain pills at gunpoint, police said.
Dover police have released security camera images of two suspects they said robbed the Walgreens, located at 1001 Forrest Ave.
The suspects entered the Walgreen store about 9:50 p.m. Sunday and proceeded to the pharmacy at the rear of the business, said Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman, a police spokesman.
"Once there, the suspects jumped the counter, displayed a firearm, and demanded pain pills from the pharmacy employee," Hoffman said.
After the employee gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of products, the robbers fled the store in an unknown direction.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips can also be submitted to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or online at http://www.tipsubmit.com.
