Lorde Formally Cancels Concert in Tel Aviv

Lorde has canceled her upcoming concert in Israel following criticism from fans and activists.

The New Zealand born singer was slated to perform in Tel Aviv in June of twenty-eighteen but released a statement that she is canceling her after appeals by pro-Palestinian activists.

In the statement Lorde said that she had received many messages from people holding different views and the she thinks the right decision is to cancel.

She went on to say that she pride’s herself on being an informed citizen but admits that she didn’t make the right call before booking the show in Tel Aviv.

She hopes to one-day visit as it has been a dream of hers for many years but now is not the right time.

All tickets will be reimbursed but fans are still holding out that she might change her mind.
