" Strict action will be taken against wrong-doers, no matter whoever they are. I am going to discuss the issue with the chief minister about the next step in this matter," he said.
The minister welcomed feedback from the public to the draft syllabus released by his department recently. "Valuable and useful suggestions will sure be accepted," he said.
Hailing teaching as a noble profession, he said along with curriculum, teachers will be given a guide with moral lessons. Recently, the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) had filed a complaint against 196 candidates who took up exam for lecturer posts in polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu.
These candidates, it was found, got their marks inflated through unscrupulous means. A probe is going on as to how they did it and all those involved in the racket will have to face severe action, said officials.
Members of a Facebook group called TRB Government Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment were the whistle-blowers of this scam, as the irregularity came to light after they posted the details of the candidates who had qualified for certificate verification with forged marks.
