Kuwait witnesses media, cultural achievements in '17

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait witnessed many media and cultural achievements and activities throughout 2017.
Following are main achievements and activities that took place this year: April 29: Kuwait TV won four prizes at 18th Arab Radio and Television Festival organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
May 13: Amman international theatre festival honored Kuwait's actress Hayat Al-Fahad.
July 27: Kuwait's Information Ministry revoked Al-Kout channel's license as one of its owners was belonging to the so-called "Al-Abdali terror cell." August 15: INR Magazine, specialized in architect engineering, granted the Amir Diwan's Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center an award for the best international projects.
October 1: Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Middle East News Agency signed a deal to boost bilateral cooperation.
October 15: Kuwait festival for Arab youth theater kicked off as part of celebrations of Kuwait Capital of Arab Youth of 2017.
October 26: Kuwait won six awards at the conclusion of Kuwait festival for Arab youth theater.
November 1: Writer Abdullah Al-Busais won the Best Arabic Novel Award at Sharjah book fair.
November 10: Kuwait came first, in terms of prizes and participations, at the sixth Cairo Artworks and Media Mondial.
November 21: Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Jordan's news agency (Petra) signed a program for fostering bilateral cooperation.
November 21: 2nd edition of Media, Technology and Communication Forum kicked off, under the patronage of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Information Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.
November 21: Kuwait's theatrical performance "Atsah" won the golden prize at the 24th Jordanian Theater Festival.
November 23: Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL) signed an agreement with the China Intercontinental Press to translate, publish and electronically distribute publications. (pick up previous).
