DHAKA: Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Immigration police on Monday (December 25) evening arrested a blogger while he was intending to leave the country.
The arrestee was identified as Asaduzzaman Nur alias Asad Nur.
An official of the immigration police told Banglanews that Asad was accused in a case filed under ICT Act, with Amtoli Police Station in Barguna on January 11, 2017. He has been absconding since then.
Few days ago, Asad was reported to be hiding in India, said the official.
He was recognized based on the information provided by Amtoli Police Station.
He was shown arrested in the case, on charge of making derogatory comments about religion.
