Prime Minister Modi greets nation on Guru Gobind Singh Ji's 350th Prakash Parv
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation while paying homage to the 10th Sikh Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji on his 350th Prakash Parv, and in a released message said, "As we mark the 350th Prakash Parv, I bow to the venerable Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He was an embodiment of exceptional courage and immense wisdom. His brave deeds and noble thoughts inspire people across generations."

He added, "Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji believed in the power of equality. He opposed all forms of social discrimination and was revered for his sense of justice as well as honesty."

Across the nation nagar kirtans and processions on December 23 and 24 were taken out to mark the parkash parv celebrations of the Guru along with kirtan recitations in various Sikh temples by Ragis. The processions at various places were led by the Panj Pyaras followed by sacred Guru Granth Sahib placed on palanquins decorated with flowers.

Guru Gobind Singh Sahib is regarded as Saint Soldier who fought against oppression as well as stressed devotional aspect of life.

"Blessed, blessed is that Sikh of the Guru, who goes and falls at the feet of the True Guru. Blessed, blessed is that Sikh of the Guru, who with his mouth utters the name of the Lord," he had preached.
