Tiger Zinda Hai starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has come as a blessing to Bollywood which experienced a rather disappointing year at the box office in 2017. After his own film Tubelight, didn’t set the box office registers ringing earlier this year, the superstar is back with this Ali Abbas Zafar’s actioner. His roar cannot be ignored! The film has collected Rs 114.93 crore over the first weekend.
The film opened to a massive Rs 34.10 crore on Friday and made another Rs 35.30 crore on Saturday. Sunday was better with Tiger Zinda Hai raking in around a whopping Rs 44 crore. With the number, the film set a new single-day record for Hindi film industry. Considering that the film will enjoy an extended weekend, with Christmas holiday on Monday, the numbers are just set to grow.
