Rangpur Zila Parishad engr lands in jail

RANGPUR, Dec 24: A Rangpur court on Sunday sent an Assistant Engineer of Rangpur Zila Parishad to jail in a case filed over the attack on the houses of Hindu community members in Thakurpara village of Sadar upazila.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Quamrul Islam passed the order after the investigation officer of the case produced Falda Rahman before his court.
Earlier, district Detective Branch of police arrested the accused from
Shyamoli in the capital on Saturday.
With this, a total of 75 people have so far been arrested in connection with the attack.     -UNB
