EgyptThis Christmas, Egypt is all geared up to offer a tourist-compact season. Red Sea hotel with Jingle bells jingled all the way puts on their decorations of Christmas with an Egyptian twist: in Sahl Hashish, Santa Claus gave Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer and got a vacation as he went for a camel ride, exploring the area and giving away Christmas presents for tourists.

Love was in the air for Sharm el-Sheikh, as a diplomat from the Ministry of Youth waited for the tourists arriving at the airport with flowers, wearing t-shirts and the Egyptian flag on them.

Marsa Alam International Airport echoed the slogan “go big or go home!, as Santa Claus personally welcomed visitors upon their arrival, handing them wide range of presents.

In spite of a 3-year-absence of Russian tourists, this Christmas, Egypt greeted many visitors. Tourists from 29 different countries visited Hurgada alone, particularly British, Ukrainians, Germans, and Polish, as per Bashar Abu Taleb, President of Tour Guides Syndicate in the Red Sea.

Many hotel managers guaranteed Al-Masry Al-Youm that bookings in the Red Sea hotels have reached almost 90 percent, on the other hand there have been fully booked hotels, particularly in Gouna and Sahl Hashish.

Also, the ‘Tourism Revival Committee in the Red Sea’ acknowledged that the calculated number of tourists to visit the region within the predictable future is anticipated to be around 100,000.
