PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nobal Days, Racine Park: The 6-foot-9 forward was an easy choice. He led the Panthers to a 68-67 victory at Milwaukee Hamilton on Tuesday with a quadruple-double. He finished with 10 points, 21 rebounds, 12 blocks and 11 assists. His final assist came on the game-winning bucket, which was scored by sophomore Jalawn Farrell at the buzzer. Days is averaging 8.6 points, 15.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 4.6 blocks per game for the Panthers, who are 6-1.
Honorable mention
Jacob Vonderwell, Franklin: The junior guard recorded a triple-double in the Sabers’ 98-68 victory over Milwaukee Bradley Tech last Tuesday, finishing with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists.
Tyler Evans, Slinger: The senior forward finished with 20 points, including the game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds of a 50-47 victory over Port Washington last Tuesday.
Dailon Little, Milwaukee School of the Arts: The senior guard needed just two games to score 100 points, getting a career-high 56 points and 12 steals in a 98-40 win over Tenor/Veritas Tuesday.
Tyler Torosian, New Berlin West: The senior forward averaged 26 points per game in victories over West Allis Central and Waterford last week that pushed the Vikings’ record to 5-4, its best start coach Brandon Mattox’s three-year tenure. He hit 11 of 17 shots for 29 points in an 81-70 win over Waterford, his fourth 20-point game of the season.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Waukesha West: The Wolverines’ improved to 6-2 with victories over Kenosha Bradford on Tuesday and Dubuque (Iowa) Senior on Friday. Bradford leads the Southeast Conference. The 73-53 victory over the Red Devils came with the help of senior forward Finley Schumacher, who finished with 19 points and seven rebounds, and 17 points and six assists from junior guard/forward Ricky Martinez. David Skogman, a junior forward, had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Rick Majereus WBY Shootout at Concordia University, Wednesday-Friday: This year’s event features 27 games that include a couple of showdowns for Whitnall, which plays Waunakee at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Oshkosh North at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Friday at 7:30 p.m., Brookfield Central plays North in a matchup of the state’s top Division 1 teams.
Racine St. Catherine’s vs. Kenosha Bradford, 7:45 p.m. Saturday: The Angels of the Metro Classic and Bradford of the Southeast Conference, are at the top of the standings of their respective leagues. They’ll play in the final game off the Go Sports America Classic at Carthage College.
