Tis the season for hot chocolate, candy cane and gingerbread houses. But this one from a Houston group of friends and family just turned things upside down.

Ricky Guerra, a freshman at University of Houston, constructed a "Stranger Things" gingerbread house with friends and family in about 90 minutes. It was good enough to win his group an impromptu house competition.

Aside from featuring some of the Netflix show's characters, including Eleven and Lucas, several elements will be familiar to fans of the show.

The blue represents ooze from the Upside Down. The Skittles symbloize the Christmas lights. The brown chocolate bits are Demodogs. And the red and pink roof is like the sky in the Upside Down.

"We didn't really know how to start, but once we realized we wanted it 'Stranger Things,' we started getting as creative as we could," Guerra says. "It was really fun.

Forget Santa's workshop, y'all.

"Stranger Things' Season 2 debuted in October on Netflix. A third season is in the works.
