(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 24 December: Like other parts of the world, members of the Christian community in the provincial capital look excited for the Christmas and almost completed their preparations for the festival to be celebrated on Monday.
Churches in the provincial metropolis have been decorated with Christmas trees and illuminated with colorful lightening. Different types of stalls are set up in churches where variety of things including religious books, toys for kids and other items are put for sale.
The Christian community people have also decorated their homes with Christmas trees. People of different age groups are visiting markets for shopping.
Talking to TNN, a number of Christian people said that this year, they would celebrate Christmas with simplicity to show solidarity with the victims of militants' attack on a church in Quetta.
The local administration and the city police have made strict security arrangements to maintain to avoid any untoward mishap on the day of Christmas.
Special services would be offered and Christmas cakes would be cut in the churches.
