Man Utd transfer EXCLUSIVE: Fellaini ready to quit and will NOT sign new contract

MAROUANE FELLAINI has no intention of signing a new contract with Manchester United, Express Sport has learned.

Marouane Fellaini is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer and does not intend to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

The Belgium international has already rejected one offer from the club, despite Jose Mourinho urging the board to renew at all costs.

Express Sport understands he has begun looking for a new team and has no preference over whether he leaves in January or at the end of the season.

And a source close to the 30-year-old has revealed he has already been approached with an offer from China.

United are said to have put the breakers on him leaving in January but he will be free to negotiate terms with foreign clubs once the transfer window opens.

“Fellaini will not extend his contract,” the source told Express Sport.

“He does not prefer to leave in January or in the summer but Manchester United will have the final say over what happens next month.

“He has an offer from China and could leave for more money.”

Despite getting a better contract away from Old Trafford, the Belgian is also being lured by the potential of more game time - especially in the run up to the World Cup.

Fellaini has become a key utility player for Mourinho, deputising for Paul Pogba and offering a threat up top from set pieces.

However, he has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side - starting just four games in all competitions - and now wants out.

Besides China, the midfielder is also said to be weighing up a move to Turkey, with Istanbul-based side Besiktas showing interest.

Fellaini has been at Old Trafford since 2013 and has made 145 appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists.
