MENDHAR: Army conducted a lecture on Consumer Rights on the occasion of National Consumer Day at Government ITI, Mendhar on Sunday. The aim of the lecture was to impart awareness amongst the locals about the Consumer Protection Act and various legal rights that a consumer is authorised.
During the lecture, the youth were introduced to the Consumer Rights, Consumer Protection Act and its history. The audience were informed about how these rights protect from all types of hazardous goods and services, the right way of choosing of quality goods and services, freedom to choose amongst various goods and services and its performance were also discussed. During the drive, the students and local youth were also briefed about Right of Safety, Right of Choice, Right to Information, Right of Hearing, Right to Redressal and Right of Education. Large number of students, teachers and local youth from Mendhar attended the lecture.
