CHANDIGARH: Taking a serious note of a complaint against a reader attached with
Pehowa SDM, Haryana chief minister
Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday ordered his suspension with immediate effect.
Khattar gave the order while chairing a Janta Darbar in
Kurukshetra. As many as 207 complaints were taken up during the first sitting of the CM on his two-day visit there district under the ongoing programme. Addressing those present on the occasion, the CM said it was the priority of the state government to provide justice to each resident of the state and redress their grievances. Directing officers to focus on redressing the complaints of people rather than neglecting them, he said that they would now have to register these in their registers and issue receipt numbers to complainants.
On the complaint of
Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Kurukshetra, the CM said if the contractor had committed any irregularity in engaging any employee in the university under the outsourcing policy, the matter would be investigated and an FIR would be registered against the guilty. On the complaint of Rajbir, a resident of
Hathira village, regarding death of several animals due to negligence of an employee of the animal husbandry department, the CM directed the deputy commissioner to investigate the matter.
Following a request of the sarpanch of
Abhimanyu village, Khattar directed the officers to start the process of shifting eight villages, including Abhimanyu, from the jurisdiction of Karnal electricity office to that of Thanesar. Maximum complaints pertaining to electricity supply were received at the darbar.
