A two-day training programme on ‘community-based medicinal plant product microenterprise’ was held here on December 19 and 20.
The Baitarani Initiative organsied the programme in association with Dabur and OFSDS. Its aim was to train stakeholders to cultivate medicinal plants in their farms and earn good income.
Baitarani Initiative (A Trust) in partnership with Dabur India Ltd facilitating collectivized trade and regeneration of selected medicinal plants in eight forest divisions covering about 400 villages this year with support of OFSDS.
This is an attempt to continue an experiment begun by Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP-I) during 2011-12.
