Chuck Grassley has a case of the Christmas blues.
The Iowa Republican inadvertently tweeted holiday greetings at an anti-Trump account Sunday afternoon, sparking seething speculation that he might have started hitting the egg nog a bit early.
"Merry Christmas MrPresident," Grassley tweeted at @teaIDonaIdTrump, a satire account that has a handle reminiscent of the President's @realDonaldTrump one.
But while the handle is similar, the account Grassley tweeted at displays a profile picture in which Trump's face has been colored a glaring shade of teal blue. The account also features numerous tweets deriding the man in the White House.

"Why are you such a child?" the teal account tweeted at the President after he suggested last month having a "contest" to determine which of the major news networks is the most "dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted."
In another tweet, the teal account was blunter.
"You're an a--hole," the handle posted in response to a tweet from Trump praising the owner of the Dallas Cowboys for benching players who "disrespect our Flag."
Sen. Grassley quickly followed up his botched Christmas tweet with one aimed at the correct handle. But the 84-year-old senator forgot to delete the original tweet.
"Already started your Christmas binge drinking?" one social media user fired at Grassley.
"Too much nog, not enough egg," another one chimed in.
