BREAKING: Several casualties reported in MACHETE RAMPAGE

PARAMEDICS rushed at least nine casualties to a Los Angeles hospital after a man started attacking people with a machete, according to police.

Panicked onlookers were stunned when a man with a huge blade and gas mask began to slash at bystanders in Canoga Park.

Officers quickly swooped on the neighbourhood and gunned down the attacker.

The suspect and eight bystanders were then taken away in an ambulance.

    One witness said he heard at least five gunshots before he saw police cars fly down the street and turn a corner.
