
Driver possibly killed by falling tree in Dutchess County

State Police are investigating a fatal single car crash in which the driver may have been killed by a falling tree.
State Police in Dutchess County were called to the Taconic State Parkway near exit 35 at about 2:25 a.m. on Sunday.
Police said they found a car had left the roadway and overturned and that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time police believe a falling tree may have struck the car, causing the crash. Police are withholding the victim’s name, pending notification of family.
