Pakistan- Political parties' workers hold rally against prolong power outage

(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) LANDI KOTAL, 24 December: Workers of different political parties took out a protest rally against prolonged and excessive load shedding of electricity here on Sunday.

The protesters rallied from the Hospital square and marched till the press club. Jamaat-e-Islami's Zarnoor Afridi, PTI's Abdul Hakim and other political activists led the rally.

Addressing the protesters, speakers said that power supply to the area remained suspended for 22 hours due to which people were being severely affected. They said that due to prolonged outage of electricity supply, the local people are facing acute shortage of water and they are paying extra money to purchase water in tankers.

They said that people were forced to migrate from the area due to excessive load shedding. The protesters threatened to launch protest drive if the process of excessive load shedding was not halted.
