Fayette County Deputies find $10,000 worth of heroin during traffic stop

HICO, W. Va. (WVNS) — A Detroit man is behind bars after Fayette County Deputies found $10,000 worth of heroin in a car during a traffic stop.
Deputies said they pulled over a vehicle just outside of Hico on U.S. Route 60 Saturday night. In the vehicle was Edward Jamal Hardon, 28 from Detroit, Michigan.
Sergeant T.N. Mooney and his K-9 partner, Arras, responded to the traffic stop to conduct a vehicle narcotics scan. After a positive indication by the K-9 team, a search of the vehicle was conducted.
On Hardon, deputies said they found 10,000 worth of heroin. He was arrested and is charged with the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics.
The driver, 26-year-old Kayla Prince of Fairmont, was also arrested for Driving Revoked Due to DUI.
"Again, this shows, do not bring drugs into our county. We are aggressive and working hard to rid our streets of drugs." Said Sheriff Fridley. "Our K9 teams are valuable tools in fighting these drugs."
