Every year Prince Charles, William and Harry take part in the shoot on the Sandringham estate – but this year the 33-year-old is set to take a pass.
It is believed the royal heartthrob will be ducking out on the Boxing Day festivities to keep animal lover Meghan, 36, happy.
It marks a major departure for Harry – who earlier this month flew out to take part in a boar hunt in Germany while Meghan was filming in Canada.

A royal insider told The Sun: “The Boxing Day shoot was always going to be a tricky issue. Meghan is a keen animal rights campaigner and doesn’t like hunting in any form.
“Harry loves it and has always been out there on Boxing Day. But if it means breaking with long-standing royal traditions to avoid upsetting her, so be it.
“It’s fair to say that there are some pretty stunned faces around here.”

Meanwhile, a pal of Harry’s added: “If Meghan’s not comfortable with him doing the shoot, he wouldn’t want to upset her.”
In other news, Meghan has been left distraught after her beloved rescue dog Guy broke his two legs.
The beagle – described as Meghan’s “absolute world” – was injured shortly after Clarence House announced the engagement on November 27.

Guy was flown to London earlier this year from Toronto where the US actress lived while filming Suits.
Earlier this week the lovebirds posed in a photoshoot to mark their engagement.
