THANE: Two motorcycle-borne men robbed a goldsmith of his
gold chain worth Rs 50,000 near
Flower Valley complex on Friday.
The duo reportedly provoked the Kalyan- based
businessman to get off his
car and snatched the gold chain after which they escaped.
"Santosh Kondaji was driving on the Majiwada flyover at around 7am when two motorcycle-borne men overtook his vehicle and blocked his way. The pillion made some hand gestures and the two raced ahead. When Kondaji's vehicle descended the flyover, the duo again came in front of his vehicle due to which he had to stop the car," said a cop from Rabodi police station.
The rider, who got off the bike, broke the car's window with his helmet. Kondaji then stepped out of his car and was snatched of his chain.
The police claimed that Kondaji took pictures of the motorcycle the duo were riding and the vehicle's registration number is visible in the picture. The victim has given the description of the duo and police claimed they will be traced soon.
