It feels like those Michigan State Spartans are everywhere in the NFL.
From Kirk Cousins to Le'Veon Bell to Darqueze Dennard, there are plenty of "Spartan Dawgs" playing pro football.
Perhaps it was the spirit of MSU that invaded Sunday's Atlanta Falcons-New Orleans Saints at the Superdome. Viewers watching Fox's telecast caught a weird image on the field during a Devonta Freeman run.
Much like the yellow first down line is superimposed on the field, Freeman ran down the sideline and past MSU's Spartan helmet logo.
It's a bit odd to see this, especially since the game being shown in the state of Michigan on Fox was the Lions-Bengals contest in Cincinnati.
One explanation may Fox promoting the Holiday Bowl, featuring the Spartans and Washington State on Thursday on Fox Sports 1.
Or, someone in the Fox production truck may have had a sip of egg nog a bit early.
