More criminals arrested by police

It is revealed that those who were plotting to shoot a group of Police STF personnel near the Ballapana Junction in Divulapitiya are close accomplices of underworld criminal 'Makandure Madush' who is hiding in a foreign country.

This was revealed following the arrest of 3 persons in Katuwallegama by the police last morning (23).

They are accused of supporting and plotting to kill the STF officers.

They were to be produced before Minuwangoda Magistrate today (24).

A few days ago 8 persons including an individual who is having direct links with 'Madush' was arrested in Negombo with arms and ammunition.
