(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Muscat- The professional diploma course on effective sports management recently concluded successfully under the auspices of Sheikh Badr bin Ali al Rawas, board member of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and chairman of Oman Olympic Solidarity Committee.

The closing ceremony was held at the OOC premises. The course is organised as part of the International Olympic Solidarity Programme and in cooperation with the International Gulf Institute for Management and Technology and is accredited by the Malaysian University of Technology.

Intended to promote the concepts of distinguished performance and effective management in sport, the course provided several theoretical and practical lessons on planning, organisations and governance in sportsorganisations, leadership and communication skills with respect to sports organisations, human resources, comprehensive quality criteria in sports organisations, Olympic management, and so on.
