Bethany Chamblee of Boaz made the Fall 2017 Dean’s List at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri.
Chamblee is a senior majoring in middle school education.
The requirements for the Dean’s List are a 3.3 or higher grade point average for at least 12 hours during the semester, with no D, F or incomplete grades.

earns FACHE honor
Dustin T. Diggs, a native of Gadsden and an executive at LifeLink of Georgia, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for health care leaders.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development; only 9,100 health care executives hold this distinction.
To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
LifeLink of Georgia is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of life-saving and life-enhancing organs and tissue for transplantation therapy.
Southside's Layman
recognized at UA
Tobias Layman of Southside received recognition in the University of Alabama’s recent Three Minute Thesis Competition. “Grinding Away” was the title of the presentation.
Three Minute Thesis is a research communication competition that challenges master’s and doctoral students to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes.
The competition develops academic, presentation and research communication skills and supports the development of research students’ capacity to explain their research in language appropriate to a nonspecialist audience.
Mireles selected
to President's List
Mississippi University for Women has named Juan Mireles of Fort Payne to the Fall 2017 President’s list, which honors undergraduate students who achieve a perfect quality point average of 4.0 for the semester.
Established in 1884, Mississippi University for Women attracts both female and male students from around the region and around the world. It has established one of the premier nursing programs in the state and has developed a nationally recognized program in culinary arts.
Langner makes
Belmont Dean's List
Jacob Langner of Guntersville qualified for the Fall 2017 Dean’s List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
About 35 percent of Belmont’s 8,080 students qualified for the recognition.

at Bob Jones
Megan Hendrick, a freshman English Education major from Rainbow City, was among 540 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2017 President’s List.
The President’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Jessica Taylor Rathje from Glencoe achieved Brenau University Dean’s List Honors for the Fall 2017 semester. Rathje is a Class of 2019 student majoring in early childhood education.
Dean’s List students at the Gainesville, Georgia, college must maintain at least a 3.6 grade point average while carrying at least 15 semester hours of course work.
