With holidays around the corner, movie options are slim. But after a packed week with new movies, two additional films just add to the variety.

One film in particular, "All the Money in the World," has been attracting a lot of attention for an ambitious switch. USA Today, azcentral.com film critic Billy Goodykoontz caught up with director Ridley Scott to talk about the film.

'Molly's Game'

Jessica Chastain stars as Molly Bloom, an American Olympic-class skier who ran a poker game and in doing so became an FBI target. Her customers included big-tim Hollywood, sports and business icons, but she didn't know about players associated with the Russian mob. In Aaron Sorkin's directorial debut, Idris Elba plays Bloom's lawyer in this chatty drama.

'All the Money in the World'

This Ridley Scott movie has been popular lately because of a certain switch concerning Christopher Plummer subbing for Kevin Spacey as J. Paul Getty. This film follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer, no relation to Christopher) and the attempt by his mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather to pay a ransom to bring him home. Mark Wahlberg plays Gail and Getty's advisor in a drama about love versus money.
