I agree with Jeffrey Miner, who stated in his Dec. 19 letter, “‘Porch pirates’ a cutesy name for cowardly thieves,” that the term "porch pirates" is too cutesy to describe the crimes of the illicit, immoral individuals who steal delivered packages from people's porches. Other terms we might use include box burglars or carton crooks, or we could refer to them as plunderers, pillagers or poachers. Or perhaps simply “porch predators” would be the suitable moniker to portray these preying punks.
