Man Utd news: Match of the Day pundits make huge Red Devils claim
DANNY MURPHY and Alan Shearer have made a huge claim after Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Leicester.
BBC
The pair were both in agreement that the Premier League title is definitely over after they lost even more ground on Manchester City.
Juan Mata had scored a brace to cancel out Jamie Vardy’s opener and put Jose Mourinho’s side on track to keep the 11 point gap to City.
But a late Harry Maguire equaliser means United now need an even greater miracle to close the 13 point gap.
Mourinho’s side do have a game in hand on their cross-city rivals, but Murphy thinks the gap is now too large for them to chase.

United with that draw and with the inability to kill Leicester off have basically thrown away their (title) chance.
“It should have been out of Leicester’s reach,” Murphy told Match of the Day.
“Mourinho was right. They should have killed them off many times.
“You can call it a lack of professionalism, a bit of bad luck.
“United with that draw and with the inability to kill Leicester off have basically thrown away their (title) chance, if they had any.”
Fellow pundit Shearer was echoed Murphy's concerns about Man Utd.
“It is as good as over. Manchester City has been remarkable,” Shearer said.
“Two defeats in 2017 in the Premier League so they are not losing five in the second half of the season.
“The title race is over.”
City beat Bournemouth 4-0 yesterday to extend their win streak to 17 games.
