Countryfile in CHAOS after Ellie Harrison and Adam Henson caught in animal mayhem
COUNTRYFILE descended into chaos this evening after presenter Adam Henson challenged Ellie Harrison to a race with a difference.
The pair of BBC stars were trying to see if it was faster to herd turkeys or geese as they recreated an historic Christmas wager.
Ellie, 40, was trying to lead a flock of geese while Adam, 51, was doing his best with some turkeys.
Both Countryfile hosts were seen struggling to lead their various flocks of fowl and at several points some of the bird escaped halfway through.
From the start, it looked like Ellie was already the early favourite as the flock seemed to move without too much effort.
However, Adam was seen having to run into the bushes to fetch back a turkey who’d strayed away from the flock as chaos ruled.
Despite describing the whole experience as “stressful”, Ellie managed to win the race with Adam miles behind her.

Just like the story, we’ve winged it and won it
“Just like the story, we’ve winged it and won it,” Ellie said as she later cheekily fibbed to Adam about her progress in the race.
The festive special saw the Countryfile team celebrating Christmas across Britain which saw farmers providing fresh food to some of the most deprived people at this time of year.
Meanwhile, Anita Rani visits a farm that put on nativity play as well as witnessing locally-produced Christmas decorations.
