4.30pm: New Rangers manager Graeme Murty insists he knows where the club need to improve when the transfer window reopens next month.

After yesterday’s defeat to Kilmarnock, he said: ”We know what we need to do, we know the areas we are looking at."

3.45pm: Arsenal are eyeing a £35.5m raid for Juventus ace Daniele Rugani.

That’s according to Italian news outlet Il Posticipo who reckon the 23-year-old is packing his bags.

Rugani has failed to establish himself as a regular starter in Turin and a move now looks on the cards.

3.15pm: Manchester United want £5m for goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Johnstone is on loan at Aston Villa but the Championship side may have to sell before they can afford to buy him outright.

Crystal Palace and West Brom are also said to be interested, according to The Mirror.

2.15pm: Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud’s hopes for a transfer could be in jeopardy after he was ruled out until February.

According to L’Equipe, he’s been ruled out of action for six weeks.

And that could put an end to the chance of Giroud moving to Everton in January.

1.40pm: Liverpool have to sign a new goalkeeper when the transfer window opens next month.

"We know that Liverpool need a new goalkeeper,” he told Match of the Day.

“As for Mignolet, we have said enough over the recent months.

“Week in week out, although we see brilliant Liverpool, we see Liverpool who do not defend.”

1.10pm: Neymar has agreed a deal to sign for Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Diario Gol claim that the Brazilian is set to sign for Los Blancos in time for the 2019/20 season.

Club president Florentino Perez has told the 25-year-old he’ll pay a world-record £222m and make him the world’s highest-paid player to bring him to the Bernabeu.

12.45pm: Manchester United will demand ££35m for Henrikh Mkhitaryan in January.

Mkhitaryan arrived from Borussia Dortmund in a £27m deal 18 months ago but has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.

Mail Online report United will demand £35m from whoever enquires about a deal for the player.

12.15pm: West Ham failed with an £8m bid for Harry Arter.

David Moyes is keen on the Bournemouth midfielder but his offer has been turned down, according to the Express.

11.35am: Louis van Gaal says Daley Blind should quit Manchester United for Barcelona.

Van Gaal signed the player during his time in charge at Old Trafford but says he should walk out for the Nou Camp.

He said: "He is not even on the bench for United sometimes. Daley can play in more than one position and at Barcelona he would never be sat in the stand."

11.10am: Liverpool have made a HUGE breakthough in thier attempt to land Virgil van Dijk.

The Sunday World claim a £70m deal will go through in January after a structured transfer was agreed between the two clubs.

10.45am: Olivier Giroud's agent is jetting to London for crunch talks with Arsenal about his future at the club, The Mirror report.

The Frenchman has struggled for starts this season and could be off in January.

He'll want to play reguarly to ensure a spot in Didier Deschamps' France squad at the World Cup next summer.

10.15am: Sunderland want to ditch Lewis Grabban to help them snare Liverpool ace Ben Woodburn.

Wolves and Aston Villa like Grabaan and could be offload to free up funds for Chris Coleman to be reunited with the Wales international.

9.50am: Arsenal are likely to bid again for Thomas Lemar in January - but at a cut-price rate.

The Gunners offered £90m for the Frenchman in the summer which Monaco accepted.

But the Mail on Sunday say the Premier League giants won't go that high again, should they put cash on the table next month.

9.25am: West Ham are plotting a double raid on relegation rivals Swansea.

The Mail on Sunday claim Alfie Mawson and Ki Sung-Yeung are wanted by David Moyes.

Diafra Sakho may head the other way to help get a deal over the line.

9am: Manchester City are poised to sign Ajax ace Frenkie de Jong.

The defensive midfielder is valued at around £10m by the Dutch giants.

De Jong would act as a replacement for the ageing Yaya Toure, who is set to depart the Etihad in the summer.

Pep Guardiola also wants a centre-back and forward, with Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk his top targets.

- Chelsea and Tottenham are keen on Everton's Ross Barkley, West Ham and Arsenal are keen too. Barkley is out of contract in the summer.

- Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw could be heading to Spurs, the Sunday Express report. The left-back is said to be on the radar of his former boss at Southampton, Mauricio Pochettino.

- Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn is wanted by Sunderland boss Chris Coleman, report the Sunday Mirror. Coleman worked with Woodburn during his time in charge of Wales.
