Ajmer: The date for Class X and Class XII board examination-2018 of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) is expected to be declared in the first week of January.
This time, about 19 lakh students from the state are likely to appear in the examination whereas last year, there were about 16 lakh students.
The board had declared that Class XII Commerce examination will start from March 8 and Class X examination from March 15. "We are now preparing the time table of Class XII (Science) so that the students get time to prepare for their entrance examinations," said an official of the board.
Practical examination for both the classes will be in February.
Considering the complaints of private schools to raise marks during practical examination, the board this year has also appointed supervisors in schools to monitor practical examinations. Board will also appoint flying squads to check the process of practical examination mostly in private schools.
"We are bringing more transparency in the examination process," said Meghna Choudhary, secretary of the board.
The board had discontinued the system of declaring merit list of X and XII board examination from 2017 and it will apply in the next board examinations too. "This time, we are strict on the system of evaluating answer sheets," added another official.
